These rules are subject to change at the administrator’s discretion. If rules should change, all captains will be notified accordingly.

The Handbook’s General Rules apply to all CEA games, please read them first!

I. Teamfight Tactics Overview

  1. Player Eligibility: All players participating in Teamfight Tactics competitions must have an active League of Legends account in good standing with access to Teamfight Tactics. Only registered team members playing under their own account are allowed to play for a team. Players may participate using any compatible devices, after linking a valid Steam account.
  2. Team Roster: A team consists of 3-5 participants. Rules for qualifications for rostered members can be found in CEA general rules.
  3. Registration: The Teamfight Tactics registration fee will be $40 per team. The captain pays this fee during registration on the CEA website. Team counts will be limited to multiples of 8; teams will be wait-listed upon registration until the next multiple of 8 is met (ex. the 21st team to register will be confirmed entry after the 24th team has registered).
    1. This is done to ensure we fill up maps and don't match with non-CEA players.
  4. Game Version: All players must have their game up to date with the latest patch.
  5. Tournament Structure:
    1. All matches will occur on one day between 9am-1pm PST on November 10, 2019. There will be a planned lunch break.
    2. Matches will be played in 4 rounds.
    3. In Each round, teams will be randomized into groups of 8, and in each group there will be 3 maps; 1 player from each team will be on each map.
    4. At the end of each round, points will be allocated to the top half of players on each map (max 4) according to the following schedule:
      1st: 12, 2nd: 9, 3rd: 7, 4th: 5, 5th: 3, 6th: 2, 7th: 1, 8th: 0
    5. The winning team will be the team at the end of the 4 rounds that has amassed the most points across all maps and all rounds.
  6. Day of Match protocol:
    1. All teams should have the Teamfight Tactics client open and be ready to play at the tournament start time.
    2. At the beginning of each round, team captains will submit lineups by PMing the lineup bot (Neuro), indicating which map tier each player will play on.
      1. Lineup format is: !lineup {1} {2} /players {4}, {5}, {6} /types {4summoner}, {5summoner}, {6summoner}
{1} - this is the round ID - admins will provide it per round
{2} - this is your team name as seen on Battlefy
{4}-{6} - these are your player names in arbitrary order, as seen on Battlefy
{4summoner}-{6summoner} - these are the LoL Summoner Names for each of the players
    3. Admins will parse and randomize the information submitted each round and assign teams to groups, and players to maps.
    4. Each map will be assigned a map leader (a player on that map) who is responsible for gathering Summoner Names for all players on that map (provided by Admins), starting a party in game with those players, and starting the match. A player assigned to be map leader who is uncomfortable or unable to perform these duties should notify the Administrator, who will appoint a new map leader.
    5. Upon joining the party, all players should select ready promptly. The map leader will begin the party match, selecting "Private Lobby" and "Humans Only" (no bots).
    6. At the conclusion of all games in a round, captains will submit lineups for the next round [ IF (NROUNDS .LT. 4) GOTO I.6.2 ]. There will be a short break after Round 2.
    7. At the conclusion of all 4 rounds, a winner will be crowned
      1. In the event of a tie, the teams that share the same top score will nominate up to 2 players, or 1 player if the number of tied teams is greater than 4. These players will compete on one final map, and the team whose player finishes 1st on the final tiebreaker map will win the tournament.
